RICHMOND, Va. – Elon freshman guard Ashanti Fox was named the CAA Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the second straight week, the conference announced on Monday.

Fox led the Phoenix in scoring for the seventh time this season with 16 points, just one shy of her career high, shooting 6-for-12 from the field in Elon's win over North Carolina A&T last Friday. She also added two rebounds, two steals, and an assist.  

Fox ranks second on the team in assists per game (2.6) this season, which is tied for 13th in the CAA, and is shooting a team-best 36.1% (22-for-61) from the three-point line.
 
Fox has elevated her game in conference play, averaging 12.0 points per game, 2.7 assists per game, and 1.7 three-pointers per game, while shooting 41.7% from the field, all of which rank in the top-20 in the league.
 
This marks Elon's third overall CAA weekly award this season.

Fox and the Phoenix will host College of Charleston and Towson this weekend in Schar Center.
