RICHMOND, Va. – Elon senior Veljko Krstic was tabbed as the CAA Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday as the conference unveiled its weekly tennis awards.  Â
Â
Krstic won both his matches at the top singles spot over the weekend in Elon's contests against Georgia Southern and No. 56 Old Dominion. Against the Eagles, Krstic defeated Albert Saar 6-1, 6-4 before downing Old Dominion's Adam Majchrzak 6-3, 6-2. Â
Â
Krstic, who moved up four spots in Tuesday's ITA singles rankings to No. 112, has won four straight matches at No. 1 singles, winning all four in straight sets. The winning streak began in Elon's CAA road win over William & Mary on March 20. The senior has lost just 15 games in his last three singles contests. Â
Â
The weekly honor is Krstic's third of the season, as he has won Doubles Team of the Week twice with partner Nikola Parichkov, with the most recent coming last week. This is the third CAA Player of the Week of his career and first since April 1, 2025. Krstic is the second Phoenix to win Player of the Week this spring afterÂ
Rafael Ymer earned the honor in the first conference awards of the season on Jan. 27. Â
Â
Krstic and the Phoenix host Campbell on Wednesday at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center. Elon will celebrate Krstic and fellow senior Oskar Antinheimo for its Senior Day match. Â
