ELON – Former Elon women's basketball standouts Ariel Colon and
Quinzia Fulmore have signed to play professionally ahead of the inaugural UPSHOT League season. Colon joins the Savannah Steel while Fulmore signed with the Charlotte Crown.
Colon played four seasons with the Phoenix from 2017-21 before using her graduate season at FIU. The Orlando, Florida, native appeared in 96 games during her Elon career, averaging 7.0 points and 3.2 rebounds per game while shooting better than 40% from the floor.
Colon scored in double figures 31 times during her collegiate career, highlighted by two 15-point performances during the 2020-21 season. She finished her career with more than 700 points and 350 rebounds while earning All-CAA honors twice, including Third Team All-CAA recognition in 2019-20.
Fulmore spent the 2025-26 season with the Phoenix after transferring to Elon as a graduate student following previous stops at Towson and Memphis. The Greensboro, North Carolina, native made an immediate impact in the post for the Maroon and Gold, leading the team in field-goal percentage at 53% while also recording a team-best 109 defensive rebounds.
Fulmore scored in double figures in 11 games during her lone season with the Phoenix and posted two 20-point performances, highlighted by a career-high 28-point outing. She also surpassed both 600 career rebounds and 100 career games played during the season.
The Charlotte Crown and Savannah Steel are two of four founding members of the UPSHOT League, a new professional women's basketball league set to begin play this spring. The league's inaugural membership also includes the Jacksonville Waves and Greensboro Groove.
Both teams are scheduled to open their inaugural seasons on Friday, May 15.
