CARY, N.C. – For the second straight day, seniors Simone Bergeron and Mariana Reding upset a seed in the prequalifying doubles draw at the ITA All-American Championships, moving them through to the qualifying draw at the tournament.

Bergeron and Reding came from a set down to defeat SMU's Addison Yang Comiskey and Elena Mireles, a No. 9 seed in the prequalifying draw, in a match tiebreak, 0-6, 6-4, 10-5. It was the Elon duo's second straight win in the tournament over a Power Four opponent after defeating the ITA's No. 88 ranked pairing from Illinois on Saturday.

The Phoenix added another Power Four doubles victory Sunday in the consolation prequalifying draw with Cornelia Kack and Lisa Kranec also coming from a set down to win in a match tiebreak. The Elon pair won 5-7, 7-5, 14-12 against Oklahoma's Laura Brunkel and Chloe Noel.
 
Kack's singles campaign at ITA All-Americans came to an end Sunday as the junior dropped her consolation prequalifying singles match to Harvard's Anna Tabunshchyk.

Bergeron and Reding return to the court tomorrow at the Cary Tennis Park for the first round of the qualifying doubles draw. They will face Virginia's Eugenia Zozaya Menendez and Shannon Lam, the ITA's No. 52 ranked doubles tandem, at approximately 3:30 p.m.
