Beville Named CAA Co-Runner Of The Week

Senior Earns Second Career Weekly Honor Following Elon Opener Victory

RICHMOND, Va. – Elon senior Abby Beville was named the Coastal Athletic Association Women's Cross Country Co-Runner of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

Beville opened her senior season by winning the women's 4K at the Elon Opener on Friday night at Elon's South Campus. She crossed the finish line in 13:58.4 to claim the individual title for the second consecutive year and lead the Phoenix to a sweep of the top four places.

The victory helped Elon capture the team championship at its season-opening home meet for the third straight year. The Phoenix finished with 21 points, well ahead of runner-up Davidson's 93.

Tuesday's honor is the second CAA weekly award of Beville's career. The Hamilton, Massachusetts, native was named CAA Co-Runner of the Week following her victory at the 2025 Elon Opener, when she posted a personal-record 4K time of 13:36.6.

Beville shared the honor with Hampton's Peninah Mutisya, who won the Spider Alumni Open 4K in a time of 13:55.4.

A two-time All-CAA honoree, Beville placed third at the 2025 CAA Championships with a personal-record 6K time of 20:29.8, helping Elon claim the conference team championship.
