Anderson on Margolis: Jessica is a huge part of our team in every area and as a senior she will be looked up to by her teammates for her college tennis experience. In our conditioning, she is consistently the fastest player and has helped many of her teammates to reach their conditioning goals. Jessica is a very determined player and has improved a lot each year.
Spring 2010: Posted a 3-1 mark in singles play • did not lose a game against North Carolina A&T opponent Chloe McSwain • paired with three different doubles partners for a perfect 3-0 record.
Fall 2009: Won two singles matches at the Hokie Invitational.
2008-09: Posted a perfect 3-0 mark in non-conference singles matches, earning straight-set wins over North Carolina Central, North Carolina A&T and Winston-Salem State • earned three doubles victories, pairing with teammates Whitney Butcher and Sally Wilkey • posted three fall doubles victories partnered with Lauren Sessoms • Academic All-SoCon honoree.
2007-08: Went 5-2 overall while playing at No. 6 position • earned a 2-0 doubles record with teammate Laura Graybill • earned ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades • posted a 4-2 fall singles mark, winning the Flight D2 consolation championship at the North Carolina State Invitational.
Prep: Played at the No. 1 position in both singles and doubles for three years at Capital High School • selected team captain as a senior • recognized all-conference for three years and all-state following her senior season • ranked 14th in the USTA Ohio Valley in girls 18s.
