Personal
Born on May 28, 1999...Son of Nicola and Bruce Bicknell...Has three brothers – Adrian, Blaise and Alexander – and one sister named Leah...Father, Bruce, played squash and was the No. 2 junior in North America before going on to play soccer and racquetball at Texas A&M...Has met and played tennis with Jamaican Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt...Majoring in accounting. 


Career Highlights & Awards
• 2018 CAA Player of the Week (March 27)
• Helped lead the Phoenix to its first-ever CAA Championship in 2019 and the team's first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2014.

Spring 2021 (Senior)
Posted three doubles wins against VCU, Coastal Carolina and Charlotte in the No. 3 position ... Also went 4-6 in singles, competing in the No. 6, 5 and 3 spots over the course of the season ... Recorded three consecutive victories against opponents from N.C. A&T (3-6, 6-2, 1-4(12)), Gardner-Webb (6-4, 6-2) and Wofford (6-2, 4-6, 6-3) in addition to recording a 6-2, 7-5 win over East Tennessee State's Juan Zabala in the No. 5 position on April 11.

Spring 2020 (Senior)
Competed alongside teammate Sam Dively at No. 3 doubles...Earned a pair of doubles wins against #66 Old Dominion's Nicola Vidal and Younes Lalami and N.C. Central's Pablo Jues Torres and Sebastian Bromley...Also appeared in five singles matches at the No. 5 spot, posting one victory in Elon's home opener against N.C. Central (2/7). 

Fall 2019 (Senior)
Ended the fall season with a 5-6 singles record and 1-4 doubles record with Sam Dively and Maxwell Zucker...Went 2-1 at the Duke James Bonk Invitational, including a win over N.C. State's Collin Schick (1-6, 6-3, 6-3), in addition to taking a set in his matchup against eventual champion Edü Guell of Duke...Picked up a win at the UNCG Fall Invitational (9/22)...Earned an 8-6 with Sam Dively against Wake Forest at the ITA Carolina Regionals. 


Spring 2019 (Junior)
Helped lead Elon to its first-ever CAA Championship in 2019 and first NCAA Championships appearance since 2014...Posted a 5-5 record in singles during the spring ...Did not play in any doubles action...Won his first four singles matches to open the season against Clemson, Appalachian State, Campbell and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi • Also earned a singles win against USC Upstate...Played primarily at the No. 6 position, but also appeared at the No. 5 spot against Liberty.

Fall 2018 (Junior)
Finished the fall with a 4-4 record in singles and a 1-2 doubles mark with Felipe Osses-Konig...Finished 2-1 overall at the Charlotte Fall Invitational with wins over Wofford and UNCG...Also won singles matches at the ITA Carolina Regionals and the Elon Fall Invitational...Played all three of his doubles matches with Osses-Konig at the Elon Fall Invitational.


Spring 2018 (Sophomore)
Went 8-3 in dual-match singles action...Did not play any doubles during the spring season...Played a majority of his matches at No. 6, going 5-3 in the position...Hit his stride at the end of the season, winning seven of his final eight decisions...Won CAA Player of the Week on March 27 after picking up straight-set wins over opponents from Coastal Carolina and USC Upstate.

Fall 2017 (Sophomore)
Went 6-6 in singles action during the fall slate while posting a 1-2 doubles mark with Camilo Ponce...Made a run to the semifinals of the Duke James Bonk Invite A2 singles draw with wins over NC State’s Michael Ogden and North Carolina’s Kavir Kumar before falling to Duke’s Jason Lapidus in three sets...Also won a pair of matches at the Elon Invitational in the Phoenix singles draw against opponents from James Madison and Coastal Carolina.

Spring 2017 (Freshman)
Joined the team just two weeks before the start of the 2017 spring season...Earned a 7-4 record in singles action, going 2-2 at No. 5 and 5-2 at No. 6...Did not play doubles...Won his first collegiate match against Fernando Clemente of Campbell by the score of 6-1, 6-2...Earned a quick 6-0, 6-2 win in the CAA Quarterfinals against Hofstra’s Nick Silvestri at No. 6...Went on a four-match winning streak from April 2 to April 21, beating opponents from Winthrop, East Carolina, UNCG and Hofstra. 

Fall 2016 (Freshman)
Did not play in the fall...Joined the team in January 2017.

Prior to Elon
Was ranked No. 2 for men’s tennis in Jamaica and was the top-ranked junior player before moving to Florida for his junior and senior years of school at IMG Academy ...Checked in as high as No. 567 in the ITF rankings.
