Biography

Personal: Full name is Claire Elizabeth Smesko…Born Sept. 2, 1999…Daughter of Trish and Ray Smesko…Has two sisters, Kelci and Katie…Both sisters played Division I lacrosse with Kelci playing at Duke and Katie at Michigan…Majoring in economics… Played in high school with fellow classmate Quinn Daly.

2021: Appeared in six games, making one start...Totaled five goals on the season, including two against William & Mary (5/2)...Recorded one goal, one assist and one ground ball at Longwood (3/29). 

2020: Played in two games...Picked up one draw control at Radford (2/25).

2019: Did not play in 2019 due to injury.

2018: Appeared in one game on the year against No. 4 James Madison, firing one shot and picking up one ground ball in the contest.

High School: Played four years of lacrosse at Ridgewood…Had a stellar final season in being named First Team All-County, Second Team All-North Jersey and Second Team All-Stars and Stripes Conference…Also played basketball at Ridgewood, helping the team to a semifinal appearance in the state tournament…Was a First Team Big North Freedom Division honoree and an All-County honorable mention…Academically, was named to the honor roll at Ridgewood.
