WHO IS A PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETE?
  • A prospective student-athlete is a student who has started classes for the ninth grade (or seventh grade in Men's Basketball)
  • An individual remains a prospective student-athlete until any of the following occurs:
    • Enrolls full-time and attends class at a four-year collegiate institution; or
    • Participates in practice or competition prior to initial enrollment (e.g., August before classes start); or
    • Enrolls and attends classes during the summer prior to initial enrollment; or
    • Reports to orientation session within 14 calendar days of the opening day of classes for a regular academic term.
