#16 Scott Riddle
Scott Riddle, a member of the Phoenix football team from 2007-10, graduated as the holder of 41 NCAA, Southern Conference or Elon records. His 13,264 passing yards are the most ever by a SoCon quarterback and the fifth-highest total ever amassed by a quarterback at the Football Championship Subdivision level. Riddle is the only quarterback in the history of the SoCon to lead the league in passing for four consecutive seasons.  Riddle collected National Freshman of the Year honors from both College Sporting News and CollegeSportsReport.com while also earning the league’s freshman of the year from both the coaches and media in 2007.  Among his league records are a 534-yard passing performance at Furman in 2007, most completions in a season (346 in 2007), most consecutive games with a touchdown pass (22) and most consecutive pass attempts without an interception (218).

#19 Terrell Hudgins
In both 2007 and 2009, wide receiver Terrell Hudgins led the FCS in both receptions per game and receiving yards per game.  Named to 14 different All-America teams in his four seasons, Hudgins held 19 records – including 10 NCAA marks – when his career concluded in 2009.  He finished his career in the maroon and gold with a NCAA Division I record 5,250 receiving yards and 395 receptions.  He was the first NCAA Division I player to ever post four 1,000-yard receiving seasons.

#25 Willie Tart
An all-conference, all-state and All-America selection during his playing days at Elon in the early 1960s, Willie Tart rushed for 844 in his last three seasons in the maroon and gold. He scored 10 touchdowns in his final two campaigns.

#44 Bobby Hedrick
Bobby Hedrick helped lead Elon to its first football national title in 1980 when he rushed for 186 yards in the title game against Northeastern Oklahoma. In his four seasons, Hedrick was named all-conference, all-state and all-district four times and was a two-time second-team All-America selection. Hedrick left Elon with 5,605 career rushing yards, an NAIA record and the second-highest total ever recorded by a collegiate running back. Hedrick also rushed for 60 career touchdowns.

#85 Richard McGeorge
Richard McGeorge’s performance for Elon led to a nine-year career with the National Football League’s Green Bay Packers. McGeorge, a first-round selection of the Packers in 1970, was a first-team NAIA All-American in 1969. He concluded his Elon career holding the program’s career record for touchdown passes caught (31), receptions (224) and receiving yards (3,460). McGeorge finished his pro career ranking seventh on Green Bay’s all-time receiving list with 175 catches.
