Vin Redmond

Vin Redmond enters his third season with the Phoenix in 2020-21. He joined the Elon coaching staff in September of 2018 after serving as an assistant coach at Manhattan College in 2018, where he worked with hitters, catchers, and outfielders. He works with Elon's hitters.

After graduation, Redmond started his coaching career as an assistant coach with the Sherrill Silversmiths of the New York Collegiate Baseball League in the summer of 2013. He then spent the 2013-14 season with Onondaga Community College before stints with the Washington Nationals AAA affiliate Syracuse Chiefs (spring 2014) and the Aldie Senators of the Valley League (summer 2014).

The Lansing, N.Y. native spent 2015 with Shoreline Community College in Washington State before joining the UMass Lowell staff as a volunteer assistant coach (2015-17). He then spent the summer of 2017 with the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod League.

Redmond earned his bachelor's degree in political science from Le Moyne College in 2012 and completed his master's degree in education in 2014. A three-year starter at second base for the Dolphins, he was a Northeast-10 All-Conference selection and ABCA/Rawlings Regional Gold Glove winner as a senior. As a junior, he was named to the All-Championship team after helping the Dolphins claim the NE-10 title and make an appearance in the NCAA Regional Finals.
