Bob Disher enters his 23rd season as life coach with Elon football in the fall of 2023. He served the program since the department's transition from NCAA Division II to NCAA Division I. A graduate of Catawba College and Duke University Divinity School, Disher served as the lead pastor at St. Marks Church in Burlington for 43 years prior to his retirement in 2021. He is currently pastor emeritus at St. Marks Church.
Disher has served in numerous leadership positions in the Burlington community over the course of his career. He served on the steering teams that influenced and founded Hospice in the Burlington community, including the establishment of the “Hospice House", and the creation of the Department of Pastoral Care at ARMC.
Disher and his wife Susan reside in Burlington.
