Summary
Luke Eddy finished his career as one of the best passers ever to wear the maroon and gold. A native of Charleston, West Virginia, Eddy finished with 296 career assists, which ranks 8th in program history. Eddy had his best overall season in 2015-16 averaging 10.5 points and dished out 144 assists, which was the 10th most in a single season in program history and tied for the second most in the CAA. He finished his career scoring in double-figures in 36 games ... Eddy was a two-time CAA All-Academic Team honoree and was twice named the CAA Player of the Week during his career. He was also a NABC Allstate Good Works Team nominee during his senior season in 2016-17 and was named to the Cancun Challenge All-Tournament Team as a sophomore in 2014-15. He was rewarded for his hard work in the classroom, earning spots on the Dean's List and the Athletic Director's Honor Roll as well as NABC Honors Court accolades as a senior during the 2016-17 season.

2016-17 (Senior): Was a 2016-17 NABC Allstate Good Works Team nominee • Earned CAA Player of the Week on Nov. 28 after averaging 14.3 points and 2.7 assists to help the Phoenix capture the NIU Thanksgiving Classic • Finished the season with 114 assists, the second straight year to record 100+ assists • Started in 31 games and started 11 times at point guard • Finished the year averaging 7.3 points and 3.7 assists per game  • Reached 200 career assists against South Florida on Nov. 17 • Scored a season-high 25 points against Cal Poly on Nov. 26 finishing a perfect 6-of-6 from the floor and 9-of-10 from the free throw line • Dished out a season-high nine assists against William Peace (Nov. 11) • Scored in double figures in 10 games during the season • Led the team in assists in 17 of the team's 32 contests.

2015-16 (Junior): Named to the CAA All-Academic Team for the second consecutive season •  Selected to the NABC Honors Court • Was named the Phoenix Award winner by his coaches and men's basketball staff • Finished the season with 144 assists, the 10th most assists for a single season in program history • The 144 assists was tied for second-most in the CAA • Finished third in the conference with a 4.5 assists per game average • Started in all 31 games at the point guard position • Finished second on the team in scoring averaging 10.5 points per game overall and 11.1 points a game in CAA play • Scored a season-high 27 points against Northeastern on Dec. 31 making 9-of-15 shots from the floor and 7-of-10 from the free throw line • Dished out season highs of nine assists on two occasions against Alabama State (Dec. 16) and UNCG (Dec. 19) • Scored in double figures in 16 games during the season • Led the team in assists in 25  of the team's 31 contests • Averaged a team-best 3.1 points in the last five minutes of games during the season.

2014-15 (Sophomore): Played in 11 games until sustaining a season-ending knee injury on Dec. 20 at UNCG • Named to the CAA All-Academic Team • Named CAA Player of the Week on Dec. 15 • Scored 27 points on 8-of-15 shooting in a narrow loss at Missouri on Dec. 11 • Went for 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting at second-ranked Duke on Dec. 15 • Scored the game-winner against Morgan State on Nov. 25 in Elon’s first game of the Cancun Challenge in Cancun, Mexico • Named to the Cancun Challenge Mayan Division All-Tournament Team • Scored in double figures in 8-of-11 games played until his season-ending injury.

2013-14 (Freshman): Played in 22 games as a true freshman • Scored a season-high 23 points against Canisius in the NIT Season Tip-Off at Rutgers on Nov. 19, knocking down 11-of-11 from the free throw line • Came off the bench for 11 points in 10 minutes at Chattanooga on Jan. 23 • Averaged 3.4 points per game as a rookie • Ended the season shooting 85.4 percent (35-of-41) from the free throw line.

High School: Two-time first-team all-state honoree, averaging 26.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game as a senior at George Washington under head coach Rick Greene • Named the 2013 Mountain State Athletic Conference (MSAC) Player of the Year • Was a career 86-percent shooter from the free throw line and recorded two triple doubles at GWHS • Earned county player of the year accolades twice and was twice named to the MSAC first team • Helped George Washington to a state title in 2011 and a runner-up finish at the state tournament in 2012 • Recorded 94 victories at GWHS -- the most by any varsity player in school history • Graduated from George Washington with high honors.

Fun Facts: Played at the same high school (George Washington) as current Elon assistant coach and former Phoenix point guard Chris Long ('11).
