Sean Halloran is in his fourth season on the Elon men's basketball staff and his second as assistant coach/director of operations in 2026-27. Halloran spent his first two seasons with the Phoenix staff solely as the director of operations (2023-25).

Halloran, a native of Orlando, Florida, rounded out a standout collegiate basketball playing career with a graduate fifth year at Elon in 2022-23. He led the Phoenix in scoring (13.0 PPG) and tied Elon's Division I single-season record with 56 steals, while also dishing out a team-high 127 assists, which ranked as the fourth most in a Division I season in Elon's history.

Halloran was a four-year standout at NCAA Division II Belmont Abbey, where he finished as the Crusaders' all-time leader in assists (502) while leading them to back-to-back Conference Carolinas Tournament titles and three straight NCAA Tournament appearances. A two-time All-Conference Carolinas second team pick, Halloran rounded out his senior campaign in 2021-22 with career highs in scoring (14.4 PPG) and rebounding (3.4 RPG) while adding 4.4 APG and 1.5 SPG. He finished his Belmont Abbey career with 1,422 points scored, ranking him among the program's top 20 all-time.

Halloran earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from Belmont Abbey in 2022. He graduated with his master's degree in science and business analytics at Elon in 2023.
