Career Summary
Sheldon Eberhardt (Eh-ber-heart), native of Pforzheim, Germany, made 93 appearances and 13 starts during his four-year career as a Phoenix. Eberhardt finished his career with 570 points, 236 rebounds and 214 assists. He shot the ball 44.1% (213-483) from the floor and had a 70.9% (78-110) clip from the free throw line. Eberhardt made a massive improvement and was named the 2018-19 CAA Sixth Man of the Year after averaging 10.3 points, 3.2 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 30 appearances and 13 starts. During conference play, he tallied 10.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 18 league games in his primary role of being the first player off the bench. Eberhardt, who moved back to the United States to play his final two years of high school basketball in Apex, N.C., made a just from averaging just 5.0 points per game as a junior to 10.3 points per contest and Elon’s third-leading scorer as a senior. Eberhardt showcased his hard work in the classroom earning a CAA Commissioner’s Academic Award.

Was named the 2018-19 CAA Sixth Man of the Year after averaging 10.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 24.6 minutes during Elon's 18 CAA games • Appeared in 30 of the team’s 32 games averaging 26.2 minutes per contest as a senior • Recorded final averages of 10.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, and a team-best 3.2 assists per game • Led the team with 97 total assists and his 3.2 assists per game ranked 9th in the CAA • Was Elon’s third-leading scorer as a senior with 10.3 points per game • Finished 13th in the league in assist/turnover ratio (1.3) with 97 assists and 77 turnovers • Scored in double figures 18 times during the season, including seven times in the last nine games • Tallied a career-high 23 points and added six rebounds and four assists in Elon’s first-ever victory at William & Mary (Jan. 19) • Posted his first-career double-double with 10 points and a career-high tying 10 assists against Milligan (Nov. 15) • Became just the second player in the program’s NCAA Division I era to post multiple 10+ assist games during his career • Posted his first-career 20+ point scoring effort against Boston University (Dec. 1) with 20 points • Had the team’s highest free-throw percentage (minimum 50 attempts) shooting at an 81.3% clip • Was third on the team in rebounds with 91 on the season • Scored 16 points, grabbed four rebounds and had four assists in Elon’s opener at Schar Center against No. 8 North Carolina (Nov. 9) • Tallied 18 points in Elon’s victory against UNCW (Feb. 21) at Schar Center • Made his first-career start against Manhattan (Nov. 6) • Tallied 16 points in the first round of the 2019 CAA Championships against UNCW (March 9) • Completed the season tallying 309 points, 97 assists and 91 rebounds, while shooting 41.8% (110-263) from the floor and 81.3% (52-64) from the free throw line.

Appeared in 31 games in his third season with the Phoenix • Finished the season with 5.0 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game • Scored in double figures four times during the season • Finished fifth in the CAA in assist/turnover ratio (2.0) with 79 assists to just 39 turnovers • Had 79 total assists, the second-most on the team • Posted a season-high 10 assists and had no turnovers in Elon’s 2OT win over Saint Peter’s (Dec. 2), becoming the first Elon player with at least 10 assists in a game since Chris Long on Feb. 19, 2011 • Scored a season-high 14 points, which included hitting a buzzer-beating floater to force a third overtime against FIU (Nov. 17) • Grabbed a season-best nine rebounds in a win against William Peace (Nov. 11) • Flirted with a triple-double against Saint Peter's (Dec. 2), posting 10 assists, six points and seven rebounds • Chipped in 11 points at UNCG (Dec. 7) • Had seven points, seven assists and two blocks in a road win at Boston University (Dec. 17) •  Finished with 13 points for the Phoenix in a road contest at Drexel (Jan. 25) • Contributed off the bench at UNCW (Feb. 15) with nine points • Completed the season 156 points, 89 rebounds and 79 assists, while shooting 47.7 percent (62-130) from the floor.

Played in 16 games and averaged 18 minutes per contest during the season • Missed half of the season (16 games from Dec. 28-Feb. 22) with a wrist injury • Averaged 5.0 points and 2.7 rebounds per game • Recorded his first-career double digit scoring effort with 11 points against William Peace (Nov. 11) • Averaged nine points per game during the NIU Thanksgiving Classic Nov. 23-25 • Flirted with a double-double scoring nine points and grabbing eight rebounds, while finishing a perfect 4-of-4 from the floor in a win over UIC (Nov. 23) • Played a season-high 30 minutes in a two-overtime win over Northern Illinois (Nov. 25) • Nearly recorded a double-double against Saint Peter's (Dec. 18), scoring nine points and grabbing seven rebounds • Finished the season with 80 points, 43 rebounds, 34 assists and nine steals • Shot the ball 48.5% (32-66) from the floor • Recipient of the 2015-16 CAA Commissioner's Academic Award.
