Taylor Caskey will be in her second season with the Elon lacrosse program in 2023. She serves as an assistant coach under head coach Josh Hexter.
Last season, the Phoenix went 5-11 (1-5 CAA) on the season, including wins over Campbell, Furman, VCU, Winthrop and William & Mary. Over the course of the season, Gillian Curran tabbed the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Defensive Player of the Week and Sammy Fisher was named Rookie of the Week. Both players went on to earn all-conference honors for their performance during their 2022 campaigns, with Curran being a second-team selection and Fisher being an all-rookie team honoree. Curran also went on to break the program record for both career draw controls (195) and single-season draw controls (79).
Caskey most recently was a graduate assistant within the program after playing for the Hokies for four seasons (2016-20). During her playing career at Virginia Tech, she rose from a walk-on player to senior captain, finishing third all-time in assists (56). She was recognized at the conference level for her academic performance, earning Atlantic Coast Conference All-Academic honors all four years.
