High School: A member of the varsity team since the eighth grade and a five-year letter winner, Barker played for Coach Valerie Sandoval at St. Michael's High School and Coach Jenny Richardson at Georgetown High School...Earned First Team All-District three years in a row and First Team All-State twice..Helped her school qualify for the State Tournament as a freshman before capturing the New Mexico Class 3A State Title as a sophomore and reaching the State Title match as a junior...Was also a two-time AVCA Max Preps Player of the Week, the District 3A Offensive Player of the Year as a sophomore, and the District 3 All-Around Player of the Year as a junior...Was nominated for New Mexico's Gatorade Player of the Year in 2019 and landed on the AVCA Under Armour Watch List in 2020...At the club level, Barker played with Coach Jenny Luke's Austin Skyline 18 Royal team.

Quoting Coach Tendler: "Lily is a powerful hitter who can be very effective on either the right or left side. Her blocking presence enables her to be a great first line of defense, whether she is stuff blocking balls, altering opponents' shots or channeling to her teammates. Lily is very self-motivated, always willing to put in the time to get extra repetitions or watch more video. Due to a family move, she has played on multiple high school and club teams. To her credit, she has quickly fit in and made an immediate impact at whatever position is needed."
