MOREHEAD, KY -- Elon College QB Derrick Moore rushed for 134 yards and a pair of touchdowns and RB Steven Ferguson found the end zone three times himself en route to a 59-0 rout of Morehead State Saturday night at Jayne Stadium.

The Eagles, who entered the game with the nation's #1 ranked offense, were held to only 118 yards, while the Fightin' Christians tallied 546 yards, including 488 on the ground alone.

In the opening quarter, Ferguson scored on a 12-yard run at the 10:06 mark and was followed by Moore's 90-yard scamper to pay-dirt at 5:13. Moore's run set a new school record for longest run from scrimmage. In the second quarter, Ferguson found the end zone twice on five and four yard runs, while PK Austin Boone connected on a 42-yard field goal to give the Fightin' Christians a 31-0 lead going into halftime.

Moore added a 13-yard TD run in the third, followed by Chris Bryan's 39-yard TD scamper to up the Elon advantage to 45-0. Rae Brown started off the final period by pulling in an 11-yard TD pass from reserve QB Zach Harrison and Dustin Hodgson rounded out the Elon scoring with a three-yard TD run.
