BIRMINGHAM, AL -- All but one singles player and all three doubles spots for Birmingham-Southern won their Monday matches against visiting Elon as the Panthers won, 6-1, in women's college tennis. Diana Pulupa of Elon came back from down one set to win, 4-6, 6-4, 10-7, in the number two singles position over Charlotte Ann Kelly of BSC. It was Elon's lone victory on the day as BSC dominated.
Jessica Griffin, Daisy Humphrey, Nicole Timmis, Stephanie Ginsburg and Jennifer Timmis were all singles winners. BSC also swept the three doubles positions as the Panthers moved to 3-2 on the season and 2-0 against future Big South competition. Elon falls to 1-2 on the year.
The Phoenix will play host to Big South foe Charleston Southern at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
