This is the second year in a row that an Elon runner has been awarded Freshman of the Year accolades. Last season, Anna Mae Flynn finished 11th at the league championship to earn the award.

Beeler's (pictured right) mark of 17:59.47 sets a new school record and is the first time under 18 minutes posted by an Elon runner.

Flynn finished 11th again this season with a personal-best time of 18:03.15. Alissa Wilke, Katelyn Ealer and Jessica Doan all set personal bests while rounding out Elon's top-five finishers. Wilke finished 32nd with a time of 19:03.28 while Ealer ran a time of 19:07.28 to placed 34th and Doan finished 38th with a time of 19:15.66.

Katie White finished 43rd with a time of 19:19.66 and Alana Morro placed 50th with a 19:39.02 time. Amy Susler ran a time of 19:44.82 to finish 55th while Kelly Chencharik placed 66th with a time of 20:26.22.

Chattanooga took the title with 43 points and Appalachian State finished second after collecting 44 points. Davidson finished with 53 points for third place and Elon placed fourth with 124 points.
