ELON, N.C. – The Elon University men’s and women’s tennis teams will host the Campus Match Play One Day Showdown on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center on the Elon campus. The unsanctioned, non-ranking men's and women's tournaments are open to juniors, college players, professionals and adults as part of a joint USTA/ITA program with a one-day, one-set format.
Singles players will play three sets of singles using a compass draw. Doubles teams will also play three matches using a compass draw. Set tiebreaks (12 points) are played at five-all in all matches. Entry Fees are kept low to provide access to a full range of players – $10 for singles, $5 for doubles and $15 for both. If interested, please go ahead and register as spaces are limited due to court availability.
