ELON, N.C. -- The first of six consecutive road games awaits the Elon baseball squad this evening in Raleigh, N.C. where the Phoenix will visit the North Carolina State Wolfpack for a 6:30 p.m. contest from Doak Field. The game will be broadcast live on WPCM 920 AM and for free online at www.elonphoenix.com.
The Series
Elon is 8-34 all-time against NC State. The squads split their two meetings a year ago, each winning on the road. The last meeting was a 5-3 Elon win in Raleigh last March. The first-ever match-up between the two programs came in 1908 with Elon claiming a 4-2 victory.
