ELON, N.C. -- Elon will play its last game before breaking for final exams when the Phoenix plays host to the East Carolina Pirates at 7 p.m. on Tuesday night. The Phoenix (34-18) has won four straight games while East Carolina (27-21) has dropped its last four outings. The game will be available on WSOE 89.3 FM and through Phoenix All Access.
The Series
Elon is 30-33-1 all-time against East Carolina in a series which dates back to 1940. The Phoenix and Pirates played three times last year. ECU won both of the meetings in Greenville before Elon claimed a 10-8 decision from Latham Park in the finale. ECU picked up an 8-0 victory in Greenville earlier this season. The teams first met in 1940 with Elon taking a 7-1 victory.
