ELON, N.C. – Two great ways to keep up with Elon Phoenix football return this fall as both the Inside the Elon Huddle luncheons and the Elon Football Live radio show are back for the 2010 season!

The Inside the Elon Huddle luncheons are presented by Capital Bank, hosted by the Phoenix Club and are held every Monday, beginning August 30, at the Best Western Inn on Huffman Mill Road in Burlington. For a $10 fee per week, Phoenix fans can come and enjoy a lunch provided by Grille 584 and hear coach Pete Lembo talk about the previous week’s game and Elon’s upcoming opponent. Phoenix players will also be on hand to address the fans each week. Each luncheon will also feature video clips from the prior game. This is the fourth season for the luncheons. Due to the Labor Day holiday, the luncheon in the first full week of September will be held on Tuesday, September 7.

Back with a new name from a new location, Elon Football Live presented by VantageSouth Bank will air from 7-8 p.m. on WPCM 920 AM every Thursday night beginning September 2. This year, the radio show moves venues to the Fat Frogg Bar and Grill in Elon. The Phoenix faithful are encouraged to come out and catch the show live and ask questions of Coach Lembo. Elon football color commentator Taylor Durham will once again host the program that will also feature either an assistant coach or Elon player each week. Also new this year is a way for fans to submit their questions online at elonphoenix.com. Just click on the Elon Football Live Submit a Question button on either the home page or the football page to send in a question.
