SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Elon senior midfielder Nick Millington and freshman defender Austin Dunker were honored by the Southern Conference with all-conference and all-freshman team honors, respectively, on Tuesday afternoon.  Both the All-SoCon and SoCon All-Freshman Team were selected by the league's coaches.

A Raleigh, N.C. native, Millington was one of the four midfielders named to the second team.  In his senior campaign, Millington has started 18 of Elon's 19 games.  He netted the Phoenix's first goal in a 3-1 victory at Campbell in September.  Millington assisted on two goals, one at Georgia Southern and one in Elon's 2-2 tie at Duke.  Millington served as a co-captain for the Phoenix this season.

Dunker was one of nine members of the SoCon All-Freshman Team after a rookie season in which he started 16 contests.  The Whitsett, N.C. native recorded his lone assist on the game-winner in the maroon and gold's 3-1 win at Campbell in September.  His performance on the back line has helped Elon to post seven shutouts.

The duo will help lead the Phoenix as it continues its quest of a Southern Conference Tournament title this weekend.  Elon will face off with Furman in the semifinals of the tournament in Boone, N.C. on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
