ELON VS. JAMES MADISON
Elon and James Madison have met just three times before and the Dukes have come out on top in each outing. The two first met in 1998, a 19-12 JMU victory. This will be the first time the two have played at Rhodes Stadium.

OH CAPTAIN, MY CAPTAIN
The Phoenix football squad elected two captains for the 2015 season. Serving as captain for the second year in a row is senior defensive back Miles Williams. He will be joined by first-year captain, junior linebacker John Silas.

Each week the Phoenix will also name a game-week captain and are listed below:

• at Wake Forest – B.J. Bennett
• at Gardner-Webb – Rob Sullivan
• vs. North Carolina A&T – Corey Mitchell
• vs. Towson – Ikenna Nwokeji
• at New Hampshire – Chris Blair
• at Richmond – Warren Messer
• vs. James Madison – David Petroni

ELON HOSTS JMU FOR HOMECOMING
• Elon will be facing its third straight top-25 opponent, something it has not done since 2012 (at #10 Georgia Southern, vs. #5 Wofford and vs. #14 Appalachian State)
• In last season's game at JMU, senior quarterback Mike Quinn threw for two touchdowns, ran for one and caught another score
• The game can be heard on WSML 104.5 FM / 1200 AM and at elonphoenix.com

NOTES FROM LAST GAME
• Linebacker John Silas upped his career tackles total to 233, moving in to seventh place on the program's FCS career chart
• Rob Sullivan recorded his fifth sack of the season, tying him for fifth place on Elon's FCS single-season list
• Tre Lennon caught four balls for a career-best 110 yards; It marked Lennon's first 100-yard receiving game of his career and the first for the Phoenix since Sept. 27, 2014 at Coastal Carolina
• The Phoenix now has 17 sacks in six games, three shy of its total of 20 from 2014

ON HOMECOMING
Since moving in to Rhodes Stadium for the 2001 season, Elon has posted a record of 6-8 in Homecoming games. Chattanooga and Western Carolina have been the most common Homecoming opponent. The Phoenix has faced off with both three times in Homecoming contests at Rhodes Stadium.
