2016: Team captain… Third-team All-CAA Football selection… Finished his career ranked fifth in program history with 360 career tackles… Posted a team-leading 83 tackles, including 3.5 stops for a loss… Intercepted one pass… Forced one fumble, broke up three passes and notched two quarterback hurries… Recorded the first interception of his career, broke up a pass, had one quarterback hurry and made seven tackles against New Hampshire… Concluded his career with a 10-tackle performance at #5 James Madison.

2015: Third-team All-CAA Football selection… Named team’s MVP… Team captain… Started all 11 games… Ranked third in the league and 39th nationally with 9.5 tackles per game… Tallied 104 total tackles, including 7.0 for a loss and 3.5 sacks… Broke up four passes… Had six outings with 10 or more tackles… Recorded a career-high 17 total tackles, including a sack, in a victory at Gardner-Webb… Made 16 stops, including a sack, in a conference win over Towson.

2014: Started all 12 contests… Was second on the team with 100 total tackles… Ranked in a tie for 10th in the league with 8.3 tackles per game…Made seven tackles for a loss, including two sacks… Broke up three passes and notched one quarterback hurry… Had four games with 10 or more tackles, including a high of 12 stops at Towson… Began the year with seven tackles at Duke.

2013: Collected Southern Conference All-Freshman Team honors… Earned the squad’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player Award… Saw time in all 12 games… Finished second on the team with 71 total tackles and six tackles for a loss… Posted 1.5 sacks and one quarterback hurry… Made a personal-best 14 total tackles against Georgia Southern… Posted 12 stops, including nine solo takedowns, and 1.5 sacks in a win over SoCon champion Furman… Tallied seven tackles at Georgia Tech.

2012: Made two tackles over two games before suffering an injury… Took a medical red-shirt.

Prep: Rated as a two-star recruit by both ESPN and Scout.com… Collected first-team all-state, all-county and all-region honors in 2011… Named to the Cobb County All-Star Team… Racked up over 100 tackles, forced six fumbles and intercepted two passes… Named a member of the Marietta Daily Journal Dynamite Dozen… Helped lead coach Phillip Ironside’s Hillgrove team to a Division 5A region title.

Personal: Son of John and Kimberly Silas… Sister Jasmine was a cheerleader at North Carolina A&T State University… Born August 18, 1994.
