ELON, N.C. – For the second straight week, the Elon Phoenix football team will face off with a ranked opponent. This Saturday, the maroon and gold will visit the 16th-ranked Richmond Spiders for a 3:30 p.m. CAA Football contest.Fans unable to attend the game can also listen to the game on WSML 104.5 FM and 1200 AM or at elonphoenix.com as David Hibbard and Taylor Durham have the call. Elon and Richmond have played five times prior to this season's meeting. The Spiders have won all five contests, including a 30-10 decision at Rhodes Stadium last season. Connor Christiansen (Fishers, Ind.) began his career with 105 pass attempts without throwing an interception. In fact, Elon quarterbacks had attempted 118 total passes without an interception before Chrisitansen had a pass picked off at New Hampshire.
The program mark of 210 consecutive passes without an interception was set by
Mike Quinn in 2013, a number that also set a Southern Conference record.
