ELON, N.C. – Due to Sunday's weather forecast, the Elon baseball team has adjusted its schedule for its season-opening home series against Penn State. The Phoenix and Nittany Lions will play a doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 14, beginning at noon and there will be no game played on Sunday.
Elon and Penn State will begin the 2015 season on Friday, Feb. 13, with a 4 p.m. contest at Latham Park.
Fans are also invited to join the Phoenix baseball team at its First Pitch Dinner on Thursday, Feb. 12, at 6:30 p.m. The dinner will be held at The Cutting Board at 2699 Ramada Road in Burlington.
For $15 per person ($10 for children 12 and under), fans can enjoy dinner with the team, hear from the coaching staff and players and have the opportunity to win door prizes. Everyone in attendance will receive free tickets to all three games of Elon's series against Penn State as well as a photograph of Latham Park autographed by Phoenix skipper
