South African Tennis Players Share Special Bond

Elon University's Stefan Fortmann and Josh Luck formed a special bond on the Phoenix men's tennis team, thousands of miles away from their respective homes in South Africa. Now a senior, Fortmann recalls his experience as an international student coming to the United States for the first time in 2011 and how that helped him mentor Luck in his first year at Elon.

Both players shined on the tennis courts this season, as Fortmann garnered CAA Player of the Year laurels in his final season, while Luck won nine singles matches, including six of his last nine, in his rookie campaign.

Elon Phoenix Weekly sat down with Fortmann and Luck to discuss life at Elon and transitioning to a new culture.
