Make a Gift

ELON, N.C. – Thanks to a generous donation by Mike and Mary Ellen Cross of Burlington, N.C., the Phoenix Club has announced the return of the fourth Budget Bonus Challenge, giving former Elon student-athletes the opportunity to earn their respective programs additional monetary support. The donation will provide a total of $10,000 in budget support to the four teams that meet the criteria outlined in the challenge rules.
 
How it Works
 
This year, there's a new twist in the challenge. Two top prizes of $3,000 each will be rewarded to the men's and women's programs with the highest giving percentage. The next highest men's and women's programs will each receive $2,000. Prize money will be added to the winning programs' budget for the 2015-16 athletic year. All gifts already made by former student-athletes to this point have been calculated into the current giving percentages.
 
All gifts made by former student-athletes to Elon Athletics by May 31 will count toward the challenge. The Budget Bonus Challenge runs for the entire membership year, which began on June 1, 2014 and ends on May 31, 2015. All gifts already made by former student-athletes during this membership year have been calculated into the current giving percentages.
 
The Payoff
 
The first three years of the Budget Bonus Challenge have helped increase the giving percentage amongst former Elon student-athletes from nine percent to nearly 20 percent.
