About
The “Phoenix Club” serves as the philanthropic support vehicle for Elon Athletics. Supporters of the Phoenix Club are students, staff, faculty, alumni, parents, and friends of Elon Athletics who recognize the value of the athletics experience and participate in the promotion, support, and success of Phoenix student-athletes. Donors to Elon Athletics are provided access to hospitality spaces, parking, monthly department updates, and more based on level of involvement and fund the gifts are directed within the June 1-May 31 membership year.

Annual Fund
The annual fund within the Phoenix Club helps to provide and enhance operational support that impacts and transforms the experiences of student-athletes across all 17 sports and programs. Donors to the annual fund earn access to hospitality and event experiences based on level of annual support. Gifts made to a specific sport within the Phoenix Club help support current and future operating needs of that program.

Elon Society
Established in 1994, the Elon Society is the university’s leadership annual giving community that includes all donors who invest at a level of $1,500 or higher each fiscal year (June 1-May 31). Each year, Elon Society donors are recognized and stewarded as supporters within the athletics department and across the institution commensurate with level and area of philanthropic investment.

The IMPACT Circle is a leadership giving group within the Phoenix Club. IMPACT Circle donors are recognized as making investment(s) of at least $5,000 annually to either the Phoenix Club or sport-specific annual fund of choice. These supporters will have access to higher-level stewardship and access, direct interaction with and communication from department and program leadership, and so much more.

Scholarship Endowments
Annual investment in and the establishment of endowed fund, either for scholarships, programs, or personnel, remain an important priority to Elon University. Endowed funds spin off approximately 4.5% annually, allowing longer-term endowed investments to continue to grow (based on market performance and added philanthropic investment) as a percentage of that overall value is deployed and utilized each year. Click here to learn more about endowments and view a full list of scholarships and recipients.

Gift Planning
By including the Phoenix Club in your will or making other planned gifts, you can provide for yourself and your loved ones, plan wisely for your future and make a meaningful gift to Elon. Planned gifts allow the donor to receive substantial tax advantages and other benefits while giving generous support to the university's athletic programs. Donors who make estate or other planned gifts are recognized as members of the Order of the Oak, the university's planned giving society. Through a planned gift program, the Phoenix Club looks with confidence to a future where it can ensure the Elon experience for future generations of those that wear maroon and gold. The impact of planned gifts will have a far-reaching and positive effect on the athletics program as well as the donor.
