ELON, N.C. – Elon head football coach Rich Skrosky today announced the addition of 15 players to the Phoenix's incoming freshman class. This group is comprised of players from nine states and includes three tight ends, two wide receivers, two defensive linemen, two linebackers, one quarterback, one running back, one offensive lineman one defensive back, one kicker and one wide receiver/defensive back. Two of the players can also play as long snappers.

"The goal over a year ago was to put together a large class and this staff has done a great job of achieving this," said Skrosky. "We are excited about these 15 student-athletes joining our program as we continue to build a strong foundation. I am confident that we will see contributions from many of these players."

With these 15 student-athletes, Elon's incoming freshman class will number 34 players.

Elon will open up the 2015 season on Thursday, Sept. 3 at Wake Forest at 7 p.m. Season tickets for the 2015 season are now on sale and can be purchased at elonphoenix.com or by calling 336-278-6750. Phoenix football will begin its preseason preparations for the season in early August as players report for camp on August 5.
