DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Elon University dance team recently earned a sixth-place finish in the Division I Hip Hop category of the 2018 NCA & NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championship held April 5-7. This annual competition brings together some of the best college cheer and dance programs to compete for a national title.

Elon, which first competed at the NCA & NDA national championships in 2017, was able to secure a spot in the Division 1 Hip Hop finals after posting a preliminary-round score of 9.063. The preliminary round included 14 dance teams from across the country. The teams in the top half of scoring then advanced to the finals and performed on the Daytona Bandshell.
