The loss eliminated the Phoenix from the CAA Women's Soccer Championship just two days after its victory over Northeastern in the quarterfinal round.

HIGHLIGHTS
Hofstra got off to a fast start, jumping out to a 1-0 lead in the third minute of play when Sabrina Bryan was able to find the back of the net.

Anja Suttner extended the Pride's lead to 2-0 in the 39
th minute when she got free in the box and snuck a shot just out of the reach of Hauksdottir for the goal.

Elon entered the break trailing Hofstra 2-0.

Sabrina Bryan scored her second goal of the game in the 76
th minute to extend Hofstra's lead to 3-0. Amanda Ebbesson was credited with an assist on the play.

The Phoenix scored their lone goal of the game in the 79
th minute when
Carson Jones weaved her way through the Hofstra defense and fired a shot into the back of the net for her tenth goal this season. The play trimmed the Pride's lead to 3-1 late in the game.
