ELON – The Elon women's soccer team and head coach Neil Payne announced the Phoenix's 2026 signing class on Thursday.
The Phoenix has three freshmen joining the program for the 2026 season – Hannah Carlson, Nicole Kleyner and Emerson Rogers.
Carlson hails from Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and played club soccer for Real Colorado of the ECNL. A defender, Carlson plays high school soccer for Mountain Vista and helped the team win the Class 5A state title last spring for the first time since 2017. Carlson and the Golden Eagles went 18-0-1 and allowed just one goal during their five state tournament victories.
Kleyner, a midfielder from Indian Trail, North Carolina, played club soccer for Charlotte Soccer Academy of the ECNL. Kleyner plays high school soccer for Sun Valley, where she has racked up 85 goals, 54 assists and 224 points in her three years on the varsity team. She has notched 20-plus goals in all three of her seasons and had a career-best 104 points as a sophomore.
Rogers is from Bourne, Massachusetts, and played club soccer for South Shore Select of the ECNL, where she served as a team captain. A defender, Rogers plays for Tabor Academy, serving as a captain for the Seawolves. She was an All-Independent School League Honorable Mention while at Tabor.
