ELON, N.C. – Set for its 2019 home opener, Elon University women's lacrosse will welcome its first of three ACC opponents to Rudd Field with the 14th-ranked Virginia Cavaliers making the trip for a 1 p.m. game on Saturday, Feb. 16.

Bella Feldman, Elon cruised to a 15-5 victory at Campbell on Saturday, Feb. 9.
-Leading 3-2 early in the first half, Elon went on a 6-0 run with McGlynn scoring four of the six goals to make the one-goal lead a seven-goal lead at 9-2 late in the first half.

Paulina DiFatta also made 15 saves in her Elon debut.
-For their efforts in the win, McGlynn was named CAA Player of the Week and Feldman earned CAA Rookie of the Week.
SCOUTING VIRGINIA
-UVA opened its 2019 season with a victory over Navy, beating the Mids 15-12 at home in Charlottesville.
-Saturday's game marks the first time since the start of the 2016 season Virginia is not opening its season against Elon. In 2017 and 2018, the Cavaliers took on Elon to open the season after Elon played an opener before taking on UVA.
-Avery Shoemaker led UVA in its opener, scoring four goals with three assists for seven points. Nora Bowen also scored three times in the win over Navy.
THE SERIES
-Elon and Virginia have met three times to date with UVA leading the series 2-1.
-Elon won the first matchup in the series on Feb. 11, 2017, with an 11-10 victory in Charlottesville, Va.
Abby Godfrey scored on a free position shot in the closing seconds to seal the victory.
-UVA has taken the last two meetings, the first coming in the 2017 NCAA Tournament and the second in the Cavaliers' season opener for the 2018 season.
PRESEASON ALL-CAA LISTS
-Elon was picked third in the CAA for the third consecutive season. The Phoenix has reached the CAA Tournament as the No. 3 seed in each of the last three seasons and has battled second-seeded Towson on all three occasions in the semifinals.

Quinn Daly was picked as a Preseason All-CAA honorable mention in 2019 after earning CAA All-Rookie accolades after her first season in 2018.

Mae McGlynn was named the CAA Player of the Week on Feb. 11 after her five-goal performance against Campbell in the season opener.

Bella Feldman was tabbed CAA Rookie of the Week on Feb. 11 after scoring four goals at Campbell in her collegiate debut.
LEFTOVERS FROM 2018

Stephanie Asher led the Phoenix in scoring with 39 goals and eight assists for 47 points. The Glenelg, Md., native was named a First Team All-CAA performer three times in her career and earned Tewaaraton Trophy Watch List honors twice as a junior and senior. In her four years in maroon and gold, Asher scored a program record 179 goals and had 32 assists for 211 points. She also had 155 draw controls, including 76 in her senior seasons in 2018.

ELON ON LAX SPORTS NETWORK
This season, Elon will be features on Lax Sports Network twice in April during CAA play.
-First, the Phoenix will meet Towson on Friday, April 12, at 7 p.m. at Johnny Unitas Stadium.
-Elon's second appearance on LSN will come Friday, April 19, when it meets defending national champion James Madison at 5 p.m.
-The 2019 CAA Championships in Harrisonburg, Va., will also air on LSN.
