ELON, N.C. – Closing a brief two-game road trip, Elon University women's lacrosse will head for Davidson on Wednesday, Feb. 27, for a 6:30 p.m. game at Richardson Field.

LAST TIME OUT
-Though Elon built a 5-1 lead at halftime, Liberty scored nine second-half goals on the way to a come-from-behind 10-6 victory in Lynchburg, Va., on Saturday, Feb. 23.
-Quinn Daly and Cami Lynch both scored twice to lead the way and Kaley Thompson picked up five draw controls. Paulina DiFatta made 14 saves in goal on the day. 

SCOUTING DAVIDSON
-The Wildcats are 3-0 on the season with wins over Winthrop, Furman and Gardner-Webb. Last time out on Feb. 23, Davidson defeated Gardner-Webb in Boiling Springs, N.C., by the final score of 22-6. 
-Davidson is led by Braeden Dial, who has nine goals and four assists for 13 points on the year. Sarah Kopp has a team-best 12 ground balls and three players are tied for the team lead with 11 draw controls. 
-In goal, Delaney Guhman has started all three games and has a goals against average of 6.20 with a .514 save percentage having seen 52 shots and allowing just 17 goals. 

THE SERIES
-Elon holds a 3-1 lead over Davidson in four meetings to date, having won each of the last three meetings in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
-Last time the two teams met came in 2017 when Elon earned a 15-7 decision at Rudd Field. 

MAE-KING A NAME
-Mae McGlynn has burst onto the scene in 2019 with 14 goals across Elon's first four games, scoring five on the road at Campbell with three more against No. 14 Virginia and five against Winthrop.
-The sophomore from Skaneateles, N.Y., scored just two times during her 2018 rookie campaign.
-She was named CAA Player of the Week on Feb. 11 after her five goals in the win over Campbell. 

PRESEASON ALL-CAA LISTS
-Elon was picked third in the CAA for the third consecutive season. The Phoenix has reached the CAA Tournament as the No. 3 seed in each of the last three seasons and has battled second-seeded Towson on all three occasions in the semifinals.
-Quinn Daly was picked as a Preseason All-CAA honorable mention in 2019 after earning CAA All-Rookie accolades after her first season in 2018.

CAA WEEKLY HONORS
-Mae McGlynn was named the CAA Player of the Week on Feb. 11 after her five-goal performance against Campbell in the season opener.
-Bella Feldman was tabbed CAA Rookie of the Week on Feb. 11 after scoring four goals at Campbell in her collegiate debut.
-Kaley Thompson picked up CAA Rookie of the Week on Feb. 26 after a week with four goals, five assists and 13 draw controls in Elon's two games. Against Winthrop, Thompson finished with four goals, four assists and eight draw controls. 

LEFTOVERS FROM 2018
-Stephanie Asher led the Phoenix in scoring with 39 goals and eight assists for 47 points. The Glenelg, Md., native was named a First Team All-CAA performer three times in her career and earned Tewaaraton Trophy Watch List honors twice as a junior and senior. In her four years in maroon and gold, Asher scored a program record 179 goals and had 32 assists for 211 points. She also had 155 draw controls, including 76 in her senior seasons in 2018.
-Of Elon's 135 goals scored in 2018, 89 (63.7 percent) of them came from players who graduated following the 2018 season in Asher, Maeve Cowley, Abby Godfrey, Nicole Sinacori, Kelsey Dupere, Jacie Cooper, Stephanie Thomson and Bridget Lamb. 

ELON ON LAX SPORTS NETWORK
-This season, Elon will be features on Lax Sports Network twice in April during CAA play.
-First, the Phoenix will meet Towson on Friday, April 12, at 7 p.m. at Johnny Unitas Stadium.
-Elon's second appearance on LSN will come Friday, April 19, when it meets defending national champion James Madison at 5 p.m.
-The 2019 CAA Championships in Harrisonburg, Va., will also air on LSN.

UP NEXT
-Opening a three-game homestand, Elon will welcome Duke to Rudd Field on Sunday, March 3, for a 1 p.m. contest. The Blue Devils are ranked No. 15 in the IWLCA coaches poll and No. 16 in the Inside Lacrosse rankings.
