LYNCHBURG – Select members of the Elon University women's track and field team concluded competition this weekend at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational hosted by Liberty University on Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex.
Jordan Haywood led the Phoenix in the 200-meter dash with her indoor personal-best time of 25.20 in the race in 20
th.
Alyssa Zee was 23
rd with a time of 25.39.
Aliya Barrows nearly matched her season-best time in the 400-meters, clocking a 57.53 in today's race and good for 14
th overall.
In the 1,000-meter run,
Ashley Irby was sixth overall with her time of 2:58.96.
Sophia Tasselmyer was 17
th with her time of 3:09.30 while
Hannah Miller clocked a time of 3:15.38. Tasselmyer also competed in the one-mile run and led Elon with a time of 5:16.10. in 15
th.
Meanwhile, in the women's high jump
Moira O'Malley finished 14
th overall with her mark of 1.53m.
Elyse King garnered a top-10 standing in the long jump with a mark of 5.37m and posted a mark of 11.17m in the triple jump.
On Deck
The Phoenix concludes its indoor season next weekend with groups traveling to the Virginia Tech Challenge on Feb. 21-22, and to the JDL DMR Invitational on Feb. 21.
