Junior left-hander Caden O'Brien will start on the hill for the hosts. The Maiden, N.C. native had a 1-1 record and a 5.13 ERA in 30 appearances out of the pen last season.

The defending ACC champs were picked to finish second in the Coastal Division in the conference's Preseason Coaches' Poll, receiving one first-place vote and 68 total points. In the latest rankings, the Tar Heels were listed No. 13 by Collegiate Baseball, No. 17 by the NCBWA, No. 18 by Baseball America, and No. 22 by D1Baseball.

KENNEDY REACHES WIN NO. 750
The sweep brought Elon head coach Mike Kennedy to 750 career wins, all while leading the Phoenix. The program's all-time winningest coach, he currently owns an all-time record of 750-571-3 (.568). The skipper is in his 24th season.
