Personal: Full name is Ian Christopher Evans...Born on May 17, 2001...Son of Lyle Evans and Diane Magliazzo...Brother Tyler Magliazzo played hockey at Niagara University and brother Lucas Evans played baseball at Niagara County CC.

2021: Had a 1-1 record with a 7.08 ERA in one start and 12 appearances. He allowed 21 runs (16 earned) on 38 hits and eight walks while collecting 14 strikeouts through 20.1 innings pitched...Got the start on March 30 against VCU. He was tagged for two runs on four hits over 1.2 innings in a no-decision...Tallied three strikeouts and gave up one run on five hits in 4.0 innings out of the pen vs. HPU on April 6...Recorded two strikeouts through 3,2 innings of relief vs. WCU on April 28. He allowed two runs on six hits and didn't issue a walk...Took the loss against GSU on May 15 after surrendering three runs on four hits and two walks. He finished with three punch outs over 2.1 innings of work...Improved to 1-1 with a win at CofC on May 22. He scattered three hits, struck out three batters and held the Cougars scoreless through 4.0 innings.

He also totaled eight strikeouts through 17.1 innings...Was tested early as he made his first career start at then-No. 13 North Carolina. He gave up five runs (four earned) to the Tar Heels on seven hits and a pair of walks. He picked up one strikeout through 4.0 innings...Followed that outing with a 6.0 inning start vs. then-No. 17 ECU. The Pirates scored three runs on seven hits as Evans sat down a batter swinging...Tied his season high with another 6.0 inning start at Liberty. He had a new career best with four strikeouts and gave up three runs (two earned) on six hits and one base on balls.
