Elon Athletics to Celebrate 2019-20 with Virtual Banquet Monday
ELON, N.C. – Originally scheduled to hold the 46th-annual athletics awards banquet on Monday, May 11, inside Alumni Gym, Elon University Athletics will celebrate its student-athletes and the year that was throughout the day Monday via social media channels to recognize and remember many of the outstanding achievements of the 2019-20 school year.

The day will start with a message from Director of Athletics Dave Blank on Elon's social media channels, and will be followed throughout the day by all 17 athletic programs honoring student-athletes and remembering some of the highlights from their seasons throughout the year. Fans are encouraged to stay tuned throughout the day on Twitter (@ElonPhoenix) and Facebook (Elon Phoenix) with updates throughout the day being posted to elonphoenix.com.

CAA Cancels All Competitions for the Remainder of the Winter and Spring Sport Seasons
RICMOND, Va. – Following extensive discussions with the conference's institutional administrators, in light of new developments and in an attempt to mitigate the further spread of the coronavirus, the Colonial Athletic Association has decided to cancel all conference and non-conference competitions for the remainder of the winter and spring sports seasons.

The CAA has also indefinitely suspended all in-person, on- and off-campus recruiting.

The CAA will continue to monitor what is a very complex and fluid situation, and will communicate any additional and pertinent information at a later date.

The top priority of the conference will always be the well-being and safety of our student-athletes, coaches, administrators and fans.

THURSDAY, MARCH 12
Coronavirus Impact on Elon University Athletics
ELON, N.C. – Effective Thursday, March 12, all Elon University athletics competition has been suspended until further notice. This includes any in-season events scheduled for this week to include women's basketball, baseball, softball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's golf, women's cross country and spirit squads.

With health and safety of student-athletes, coaches, staff and personnel the primary concern, Elon University will continue to monitor recommendations from health officials and others on a continuous basis.

Fans who previously purchased baseball tickets for the 2020 season will be provided updates as necessary as previously scheduled events approach.
