HARRISONBURG, VA. – Elon University women's tennis stormed back in singles play to defeat defending CAA Champion James Madison, 4-3, on Saturday, March 8.
"Today was an excellent college match against two very strong teams," head coach
Elizabeth Anderson explained. "Playing indoors on three courts, today's match ended up being around six hours long and had a ton of changes in momentum and adversity throughout. This was a total team win and the team came together and supported each other extremely well. I'm really proud of this team. Victoria, Alex and Olivia showed so much grit and toughness in pulling their matches out in three sets, setting Sofi up to clinch. The team will enjoy a day off tomorrow as we look forward to a good week of practice to fine tune and get ready for a strong Charleston team this Friday."
