ELON, N.C. – The Elon University baseball program and head coach Mike Kennedy announced the team's 2021 schedule on Wednesday, Feb. 3. The upcoming season features 26 games at Latham Park on Elon's campus.
 
"Obviously putting together a schedule has been challenging for everyone," Kennedy said. "I think I can speak for all our players and coaches when I say we don't really care who we are playing. We are just grateful for the opportunity to get back on the field. That being said, we will be challenged at every turn to show up and play well. Our non-conference schedule is going to be very tough and the south division of the CAA will be a grind. We look forward to getting back to the diamond!"
 
The Phoenix opens its 2021 season with a weekend series at UNCG on Feb. 19-21. The non-conference portion sees the maroon and gold hosting VCU for a weekend series on Feb. 26-28, as well as home games against Wake Forest (Feb. 24 and March 9), North Carolina A&T (March 13), High Point (March 30), Western Carolina (April 28), and Georgia Southern (May 14). Elon will also make trips to North Carolina A&T, High Point, NC State and Wake Forest.
 
In conference play, the CAA will feature a 24-game divisional schedule and will be split into North and South Divisions, with Elon joining Charleston, James Madison, UNCW and William & Mary in the South. The Phoenix begins league play at home versus the Dukes on March 19-21, then travels to Harrisonburg, Va. the following weekend on March 26-28. After a weekend trip to Wilmington, N.C. to play the Seahawks on April 2-4, Elon welcomes the Tribe to Latham Park for a doubleheader on April 10 and a series finale on April 11. The team then heads to Williamsburg, Va. for a doubleheader on April 17 and a single game the next day. Elon is back on its home field against UNCW (April 23-25) and Charleston (April 30-May 2) before rounding out the regular season with a trip to Mt. Pleasant, S.C. on May 20-22.
 
This year's CAA Baseball Championship will be played at UNCW's Brooks Field in Wilmington, N.C. on May 26-30. The six-team double-elimination tournament will feature the top two teams from each division along with two at-large selections.
