ELON, N.C.—The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) announced on Monday, April 12 that freshman goalkeeper McKenna Dalfonso has been named the CAA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Dalfonso (4-3) recorded her third shutout of the season against CAA opponents and fourth overall on Saturday, April 10 as the Phoenix delivered a 2-0 win against William & Mary. The goalkeeper finished the match with a season-high five saves.   
 
Elon will enter the CAA Women's Soccer Championship as the No. 2 seed in the South Division. The Phoenix will face Hofstra, the No. 1 seed in the North Division, in the semifinals on Thursday, April 15 at Towson, Md. Kickoff will be at 4 p.m.
