ELON, N.C.— The Elon University women's lacrosse team suffered its first loss of the 2021 season on April 14 as it came up short by a five-goal margin against Virginia Tech, 10-5.

"I'm incredibly proud of the way our team fought today," said head coach Josh Hexter. "We showed toughness, grit and positive energy in a game where we didn't perform at our best. I'm proud of our group for that and I believe that will carry us forward in future games."
