Elon, N.C. - The Elon University Athletics Department and Phoenix Club have announced the return of Phoenix Priority Points, beginning this membership year (2021-22). The Phoenix Club is a community of over 2,000 alumni, family members and fans who choose to invest in scholarship support for Elon student-athletes each year. This support, especially during this year of uncertainty, provides life-changing opportunities for Elon student-athletes. Despite the challenges presented by COVID-19, Elon student-athletes have excelled not only in competition, but in their academic and professional endeavors as well.

Membership to the Phoenix Club begins with an annual gift of $100 and includes exclusive Elon Athletic access, experiences and information. For information regarding membership levels, please CLICK HERE.

Phoenix Priority Points exist to reward Phoenix Club members for their loyalty and level of support to Elon Athletics. The Phoenix Club Priority Point system is used to determine priority for season tickets, individual game tickets, parking, and access to away games and post-season tournaments.
Points will be calculated as follows:

LOYALTY

• 2 POINTS for every year of consecutive* Phoenix Club membership**

CASH

• 1 POINT for every $100 of lifetime giving to the Elon Athletics
• 5 POINTS for every $100 given to Elon Athletics in the current membership year (June 1-May 31)
• 10 POINTS for every $25,000 of pledged support to Elon Athletics

PLANNED GIVING

• .5 POINT for every $100 worth of deferred support to Elon Athletics (planned gift, estate, IRA, etc.)

FIXED

• 5 POINTS for every Elon degree earned 
• 10 POINTS for Elon Varsity Letterwinners

The newly enhanced priority point system will begin this membership year (2021-22) with initial donor points and rank being calculated as of June 1, 2021. Phoenix Club members will receive their total points and rank in their membership packets in July.

Q- What is the Phoenix Priority Points System?
A- The Phoenix Priority Point System is the way in which the Phoenix Club recognizes, ranks, stewards, and allocates opportunities to Phoenix Club supporters. This system recognizes how Phoenix fans and donors support Elon student-athletes by purchasing tickets to competitions and events, making annual and pledged financial commitments, and in honoring any academic or athletic ties that supporters have to the department and institution more broadly.
 
Q- Why is a system like this necessary?
A- A system like this is necessary for a few reasons. First, as our teams experience more and more success, this objective system provides our department the ability to appropriately steward Phoenix Club members for their generous contributions when determining ticket allocation and unique Phoenix Club experience offerings. Secondly, a transparent system allows the Phoenix Club staff to cultivate relationships with valued constituents more meaningfully and accurately. Finally, as we look to grow philanthropic investment in support of our student-athletes, this system shows potential supporters how they can most directly support areas of greatest need.

A- Yes, the ticket data that is reflected in the Phoenix Priority Point System dates back to 2009 and individuals will receive 2 points for ever $100 purchased in Elon Athletics tickets since that time.
