ELON, N.C. – The Elon University softball team and head coach Kathy Bocock announced their 2023 signing class on Tuesday, Nov. 15. The Phoenix welcomes the six-member class of Teagan Baulsir, Anna Dew, Peyton Fitzpatrick, Greta Hessenthaler, Lia Miller and Ella Roberson to its program beginning in the fall of 2023.
 
"We are very excited about this incoming class," said Bocock. "They are a very athletic and talented group of young ladies. They are also very focused on the educational side at Elon in which our softball program has always taken a lot of pride in."
 
Teagan Baulsir • Catcher/Corner Infielder • Glen Allen, Va. • Deep Run High School • Hanover Hornets • Is a member of the Deep Run High School softball team under head coach Chuck Wade
• Two-time VHSL All-Region 5B at catcher (2021, 2022)
• Earned VHSL All-Metro honorable mention in 2022
• Set the school-record for home runs in a single game with three in 2021
• Named Richmond All-Metro honorable mention at catcher in 2021
• Played for the Hanover Hornets 18u National club team under head coach Christian Simmers
• Two-time Scenic City All Star in 2020 and 2021

• Batted .372 during her junior year while also recording no strikeouts in 78 at bats
• Selected All-District while helping team to a pair of conference championships
• Plays as a member of the Bandits Webster club team under coach Rick Webster

• Helped her program to a regional championship the last four years and advance to the Elite Eight three out of her four years

• Has a .300-plus career batting average with her club team
