ELON, N.C. – The Elon University women's tennis team and head coach
Elizabeth Anderson announced the program's 2023 schedule on Thursday, Dec. 8.
The Phoenix will play 23 total matches during the regular season, including 14 at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center. Out of Elon's 12 matches in April, 10 of them will be played at home.

"The team worked extremely hard this fall and had a very successful fall season," Anderson said. "We have a very challenging spring schedule and opportunities to play against several ranked teams. We are looking forward to carrying the outstanding momentum that we gained this fall into the spring season and are excited about the opportunities ahead."
THE SCHEDULE
Elon starts its 2023 season with four consecutive road matches. The Phoenix opens with a pair of in-state rivals with matches at North Carolina (Jan. 13) and Campbell (Jan. 20) before traveling for matches against Houston and Rice on Jan. 27 and 28.
The Phoenix kicks off its home ledger with a match against UNCG at the JPTC on Feb. 3 before hitting the road for Feb. 11 and 12 for contests against Clemson and Gardner-Webb. Elon faces Longwood at home on Feb. 15 before hitting the road again on Feb. 25 to take on Charlotte.
After playing seven of its first nine matches away from home, Elon begins a season-long six-match homestand on March 3 with a battle against Middle Tennessee State. The home stretch also includes two double-headers on March 4 (against Hampton and Methodist) and March 14 (against Morgan State and Shaw), as well as a March 11 clash against Davidson.
Elon travels for a road match against UNCW on March 16 before hosting another four consecutive matches at the JPTC. The Phoenix opens the home run against College of Charleston on March 25 and concludes it against Radford on April 1, with bouts against Richmond (March 26) and Delaware (March 29) in the middle.
The maroon and gold plays Wake Forest on April 2 in its final road contest of the season before wrapping up its regular season against North Carolina Central on April 12.
The 2023 CAA Men's Women's Championship is scheduled for April 20-23 and will be hosted by William & Mary at the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center. All 12 CAA teams will compete in the tournament.
