ELON, N.C.-- Elon women's lacrosse opens its 2022 season on Feb. 11 at 4 p.m. and Feb. 13 at 1 p.m. when it hosts Virginia and Duke at Rudd Field.

ABOUT ELON
-Elon went 9-3 last season, including a 3-1 record in Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play.
-The maroon and gold added 10 newcomers to the 2022 roster, including

-The Phoenix were picked to finish fifth in the CAA in the conference preseason poll.
Gillian Curran was tabbed an all-conference team selection, while
Mikaela Buoscio was named honorable mention.
-The team is led by ninth-year head coach
Josh Hexter.
SCOUTING VIRGINIA
-Virginia finished 9-9 and 3-7 in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play last season.
-Senior Annie Dyson was named a 2022 Preseason All-American by Inside Lacrosse. Last season, the midfielder led the team in draw controls (56) while also being second in ground balls (34), third in caused turnovers (14) and fifth in points (35).
-The Cavaliers were picked to finish sixth in the ACC in the conference pre-season poll.
-The head coach for Virginia is Julie Myers.
SCOUTING DUKE
-Duke will begin the season ranked No. 8 in the country, as announced in the ILWomen/IWLCA Division I Poll after finishing 11-8 (4-6 ACC) last season.
-The Blue Devils were picked to finish fifth in the ACC. Catriona Berry named preseason all-conference at large.
-Duke is led by head coach Kerstin Kimel.
